Our Leadership

Following the retirement of Reverend Charles B. Mayle at age 93, Brother Lester A. Allen III felt the leading of the Lord and stepped forward to lead the small Alliance Church of 24 members and 20 adherents.

In 2003, the church board, rejoicing in seeing how the Lord had been preparing His plan for the church, unanimously accepted Brother Allen’s offer to shepherd the congregation. By Pastor Allen’s second year, after his retirement from the U.S. Postal Service, he was able to minister full-time. Church attendance had doubled, and God’s plan to move the church to a larger building was set in motion.

The Lord led Pastor Allen to bring other men of God alongside the ministry. Brother James Digby, who has gone on to be with the Lord, Brother Marty Hicks Jr., and Brother Harold Walton joined the pastor in ministry. Each is unique in their gifts but united in their commitment to serving the Lord according to His Word, rejoicing in His blessings in all areas of the ministry, and helping other believers grow strong in their walk.

A sign on the pulpit reads, “Watch God Work!”

It is more than a cute catchphrase; it is a reason to rejoice.

“This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes.” Psalm 118:23
